Installation Proposal: tech-tonics

"The past is never dead. It's not even past"

—William Faulkner, Requiem for a Nun (1951)

Title: tech-tonics

Proposal: tech-tonics is a three-channel video installation. Projected onto three facing walls, the work layers documentary footage of the city with analog filters that extract and reorganize color data into a pulsing grid, animated at 14 beats per minute—the rhythm of human breath at rest. Each projection merges this living grid with a generative AI animation of a single, extreme close-up NYC street portrait, suspended in slow motion. The faces move with uncanny grace within the grid’s structure, caught between algorithmic control and organic, urban vitality.
