I didn't move to New York for photography. I moved here for the work, the culture, the chance to be judged on what I'm doing now instead of what I've done in the past. The camera came after.

NYC Unposed is what happened when I started walking the city with a camera instead of a plan. These are unstaged street photographs made in the collision of subway platforms, ferry crossings, food carts, and sidewalks. Nobody in these frames is performing. That's the point.

Every face on a New York street carries a whole life I'll never know: boredom, tenderness, hustle, grief, joy, sometimes all at once. I don't direct or wait for a "better" moment. I stay present in what's actually happening and trust the city, unposed, to say something true.
